Myka’s Boutique was born out of a love for fashion and a desire to create a space where individuals could discover their perfect looks. Named after a very fashionable person, who crossed my path, I gravitated to the name: Myka. The boutique embodies a vision of making fashion accessible to everyone, no matter where they are. It is a legacy to my mother, Ruth E. Settles, who I felt was one of the most fashionable women in Greenville, SC.

My mother was the South Carolina Vice Chair of Cosmetology. She presided on the board for over 10 years. When I was a child my Mom would take me to hair shows, fashion shows, and especially the Bonner Brothers Show in Atlanta. There you could see great fashions, great hairstyles, and some crazy stuff. It just depended on what you were looking for. I gravitated to the fashion for women and the elegance of how women carried themselves.
